Mile High City homeowners who need an emergency home repair but don't have the funds on hand to pay for it have an ally in a new city program.

According to Denver7 , the Denver Urban Renewal Authority'sEmergency Home Repair program "offers homeowners a zero percent loan that doesn't have to be repaid until the home is sold."

Households that earn less than 50 percent of the area median incomeare eligible. For a family of two, that comes out to about $36,000 per year, Denver7 says.
